Environment and Climate Change Canada later downgraded the weather threat for the immediate metropolitan region, lifting an orange severe thunderstorm warning for the Greater Toronto Area. However, the agency maintained a yellow alert warning of severe heat and thunderstorm risks for parts of southwestern Ontario.
