Julián Álvarez Transfer Saga Reaches Final Days as Barcelona and Arsenal Maintain Interest

Argentina international Julián Álvarez is at the center of late-window transfer interest from Barcelona and Arsenal, despite Atlético Madrid’s public stance that the 26-year-old striker will remain at the club. Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta held the identical position at Atlético until leaving in 2024 and personally negotiated Álvarez’s original contract when he moved from Manchester City.
