Dallas Cowboys vs Washington Commanders: How to Watch and Live Stream Online

Dallas CowboysvsWashington Commanders

Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders meet in Week 18 of the 2026 NFL season on Sunday, January 10, 2027 — the last weekend of the regular season, and an NFC East game with the division potentially on the line. Here’s how to watch, and why the kickoff time and channel for this one work differently to every other week.

Why the kickoff time isn’t fixed yet

Week 18 is the only round of the NFL season scheduled in arrears. The league deliberately holds back kickoff times and network assignments until the results of Week 17 are known, then places the games that still carry playoff consequences into the biggest television windows and moves games with nothing at stake out of them.

Announcements typically land about six days before the weekend. Until then, any time you see listed for a Week 18 fixture — including on this page — is provisional.

There’s a second rule worth knowing. Games with playoff implications for both teams are often played simultaneously, so no side can look at a scoreboard and know exactly what result it needs while still on the field. If the NFC East comes down to this fixture, expect it to kick off alongside the other games that could affect the same race.

What channel will it be on?

Both Dallas and Washington play in the NFC, and under the current rights agreement NFC-versus-NFC games are carried by FOX. That’s the likeliest home for this one.

The exception is the Sunday night slot. If the game turns out to decide the division, the league can move it into primetime on NBC, with a simultaneous stream on Peacock. That decision comes with the rest of the Week 18 scheduling announcement.

Once the assignment is confirmed, the practical difference is significant. A FOX afternoon game is regional — the network carries several fixtures at once and distributes them market by market, so viewers outside Texas and the Washington DC area may not get it on their local channel. A Sunday night game is national, shown everywhere, with no market restrictions at all.

Live stream without cable

If the game lands on FOX and your market is carrying it, any live TV service with your local FOX affiliate works: YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, DirecTV Stream or Sling TV Blue. FOX’s own service, Fox One, carries the network’s live sport directly without a wider package.

If it moves to Sunday night, Peacock becomes the cheapest route by a distance — NBC’s streaming service carries every Sunday night game as part of a standard subscription, with no cable login needed.

Either way, check your postcode against the service’s channel list before subscribing. Local affiliate coverage varies more than the marketing suggests, and it’s the most common reason people end up paying for something that doesn’t show them the game.

If the game isn’t shown where you live

For a regional FOX afternoon game outside either team’s market, NFL Sunday Ticket is the only legitimate route. It carries out-of-market Sunday afternoon fixtures and is sold through YouTube and YouTube Primetime Channels.

Two limits: it doesn’t carry games already being shown in your own market, and it doesn’t include primetime games at all. So if this fixture gets flexed to Sunday night, Sunday Ticket won’t help — but you also won’t need it, because the game will be on everywhere.

NFL+ and mobile viewing

NFL+ streams live local and primetime games to phones and tablets. That covers this fixture if you’re inside the Dallas or Washington market, and covers it nationally if it moves to the Sunday night window. Live games on the standard tier are limited to mobile screens; casting to a television isn’t supported.

NFL+ Premium adds full and condensed replays plus coaches’ film, which is the sensible tier for anyone in a timezone where a late American kickoff is inconvenient.

Watching from outside the United States

United Kingdom and Ireland: Sky Sports carries a large share of the season, and NFL Game Pass International — sold through DAZN — has every game live and on demand. Some fixtures air free-to-air on ITV. Week 18 games generally fall late in the UK evening or overnight.

Canada: DAZN streams all games, with selected fixtures also on TSN and CTV.

Australia: ESPN Australia and Kayo Sports carry live coverage, alongside NFL Game Pass. Week 18 kickoffs land on Monday morning or early afternoon on the east coast.

South Asia: NFL Game Pass International is the most dependable option where no domestic broadcaster holds rights. A late Sunday kickoff in America arrives on Monday morning in Bangladesh and India.

Exact times will only be clear once the league confirms the Week 18 schedule, so set a reminder rather than an alarm.

Free ways to watch legally

Both FOX and NBC are broadcast networks, so wherever the game is carried in your market an over-the-air antenna picks it up for nothing. Beyond that, Peacock and the live TV services all run trials for new subscribers — five to seven days, enough for one weekend.

For audio, both clubs’ radio networks call the game free through their station apps, which is usually the simplest option for listeners abroad.

A word on unofficial streams

Any high-profile NFL fixture attracts sites promising free streams. They’re unlicensed, commonly carry malware or redirect scripts, and have a habit of dropping out in the fourth quarter. With an antenna costing nothing and Peacock costing very little, the risk buys you nothing.

What to expect

Every Week 18 game in the NFL is a division matchup — the league schedules the final round that way so titles and playoff places are decided head-to-head rather than by formula. Dallas and Washington have met twice a season since the 1960s, and the rivalry is among the most established in the sport.

What that produces in the final week is a game whose meaning is only clear a few days beforehand. It might settle the NFC East. It might decide a wild-card place for one side. Or both teams might arrive with their fate already sealed, in which case starters get rested and the character of the game changes entirely. That uncertainty is the point of scheduling it last.

Dallas are expected to start Dak Prescott at quarterback, with Javonte Williams at running back, CeeDee Lamb at receiver and Jake Ferguson at tight end. Washington line up with Jayden Daniels, Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Terry McLaurin and Chig Okonkwo. Injury designations in the final week are worth reading closely, since teams already locked into a seed routinely hold players back.
